- Cajun Spicy Shrimps – 295 pesos[/caption]
If you crave for an all shrimp goodness right in your table filled in a bucket then you must try Bucket Shrimps.
Located just across the already famous STK ta bai, you cannot miss the place. A house turned food establishment where you can indulge their Shrimp dishes.
Their spicy cajun shrimp is quite tasty and really spicy hot so you have to prepare your drinks beside you. Though the serving is quite small for its price and you can buy these shrimps in the wet market and cook it yourself for a cheaper price.
They will also serve you this manila paper apron thing, it’s your choice if you’re gonna wear it or not. Wearing it for the 1st minute or so is kinda fun but it kinda gets uncomfortable when you start concentrating eating on your food. If you eat like a caveman then I suggest continuing wearing this. 😀
They will serve you with plastic for your hands, yes you eat by your hands which is more preferable for the setup since you will be not using plates, instead a manila paper in which we don’t know where it come from and another plastic top for the rice and your meal. Hopefully they are clean enough so better eat at your own risk or better bring a plate yourself to be sure XD
You will also get this unlimited tissue for not only for your hands but also in your face and other parts of your body since the place is humid and warm plus if you choose the spicy cajun bucket shrimps.
Don’t expect a lot of variety in their menu since most of it are shrimps in 3 different styles of cooking, they also have chicken wings.
You will have candles as your main source of light. Not sure if it this is romantic for you or just plain cheap, you decide.
Cool thing is that there light bulbs are covered with , yes you guest it, buckets. 😀 Place is on under renovation when we visited there but looking at the place, it is not spacious in fact I see people lining in the streets waiting (or even watching) for someone to be finished.
Not so much in there menu but still a little overpriced for me and a good try if you want to try something new instead of the common fastfood chains here in Cebu and you get to take a picture of you and your friends wearing an apron made of paper. 😀
Overall shrimps are tasty and good , food serving is ok. Need improvement of space and exterior and more variety in their menu.
