Ramen has been a popular dish for a long time in Japan, now it is known through out the world and even made instant packs with it and restaurants serving different ramen dishes. The hot soup with firm noodles and meat mixed with herbs and different kinds of spices, you can just indulge every sip in it.
Many Japanese restaurants are showing up here in Cebu and are making their own version of Ramen noodles, even adding new flavours and types just to have varieties and for people to choose according to preference. One Japanese restaurant here in Cebu claimed that it offers authentic Japanese Ramen, its called REDO , the Ramen Restaurant.
Located in CIty Times Square Mandaue (Across Parkmall). From the inside you can immediately feel the Japanese ambiance with its Japanese interiors, from wooden tables to chairs, even bamboo dividers, it feels like your in a Japan establishment. The place is clean and tidy, a high class establishment indeed.
You can also view their cooks and chefs in the corner covered with a clear glass, you have the option to witness how they cooked their dishes but that will be awkward right? 😀
In their menu, you will see in the 1st few pages their Ramen dishes, you can choose from different type according to your taste, number of persons and budget. They have the Tonkatsu Tan Tan Ramen (300php), Aka Kara Ramen (290php), Chasyu Ramen (340php), Menma Ramen (290php), Reddo “King” Ramen (340php) and the Reddo Pork Rib Ramen (380php) . They claimed that their noodles are homemade by the restaurant itself so you can expect a authentic Japanese ramen.
They have also other side dishes which obviously are Japanese dishes like Onigiri, Tonkatsu, Yasai and many more.
We ordered their Tonkatsu Tan Tan ramen, which is really great. The noodle strand is firm and not too soft nor hard to eat, the soup is also good mixed properly with the spices and the broth,
you can tell that the ingredients are high quality and not those like from fastfood restaurants.
Service is also good and prompt, their people are tidy and are really polite so that’s a good thing. Though prices are a bit high, so better prepare your budget of 300 pesos and up per person. You can also ask their waiters for the recommended dish or their best sellers.
Overall, the food is great especially their ramen. The place feels like an authentic Japanese food place, though they are a bit pricey but it’s still worth it if you are a ramen lover.
