Represented by the different schools, it is an all out battle for glory , baking passion and of course the prizes to be won both for the school and the young chef contestants.
Julíe’s Bakeshop brings back the Julie’s Chief Baker- Student Edition (Season 2). The reality TV show featuring student bakers from the top culinary schools in the Visayas is back for another season of extreme bake-off. The comeback season will be featuring 9 episodes that will air from October to December of 2015 on TV5 within the Visayas & Mindanao and in Luzon on cable.
The show aims to highlight the skills, creativity and ingenuity of the student bakers in coming up with new recipes, and their ability to adapt with their fellow student bakers and to the competition environment. Aside from having the opportunity to learn from kitchen veterans, they will also experience the thrill and excitement of being on a competitive reality TV show where their competitive school spirit and their motivation to succeed get tested.
Julie’s has long been a household name among homemakers since its inception over 35 years ago. Today, it strives to reach-out to the younger generation through the Julie’s Chief Baker – Student Edition (Season 2).
Hosted by Michael Karlo Lim with co-host Chef Jed Gajudo, ISCAHM pastry chef, the Julie’s Chiei Baker – Student Edition (Season 2) show will surely keep audiences on their toes following every exciting episode that will have time-bounded challenges and the surprise ingredients for enhancements will only be announced on the shooting day as well. Students will work on their ingredients on hand and will do bread costing to develop their entrepreneurial skills.
The thrill then goes from the kitchen to the judging table of the show’s three judges: Chef Sean McSavaney (Head Judge, ISCAHM Cebu and Director of Culinary Arts), Chef Erica Neal So (Pastry Chef and entrepreneur) and Carlos Veridiano (Julie’s Franchise Corporation, Franchise Operations Director) bring their appetites and discerning palates to the Chief Baker set to give their truthful opinions to the aspiring bakers.
Weekly challenges include, but are not limited to the following recipes: healthy breads, fried breads, loaf breads, holiday/celebration cakes, bread with fillings, Pinoy delicacies, and others. Of course, surprise ingredients can come in anytime during the season.
JULIES CHIEF BAKER PRIZES
Apart from being awarded as the second Julie³s Chief Baker – Students Edition winner, the winning school will receive Php 300,000 cash and winning members will receive Php 30,000 each.
The first runner-ups will be awarded Php 100,000 cash for their school and winning team members will receive Php 20,000 each. Second runner-ups will receive Php 15,000 each team member. All non-winning schools will receive Php 10,000 per team.

Participating schools will also have a chance to win an additional cash prize of Php 100,000.00. Students simply need to write their names and contact details at the back of Julie’s receipts worth Php 50.00 and drop it in their school boxes. The school with the most number of entries wins Php 100,000.00 for their HRM facilities and students who participate in the promo will also have a chance to be one of the five winners of special prizes.
