We saw this establishment while strolling around Gaisano Country Mall and noticed a lot of people going in. We looked from the outside and we saw some delicious looking desserts in a bowl, they called this Subling.
Out of curiosity we went inside Sulbing, the interior is simple like in a Cafe establishment and you can see already made Sulbing and their other food offerings display.
Actually there are a lot of choices in their menu but most of the people ordered their specialty called Subling, you can choose different flavors or ingredients in your Sulbing which is also good for 2 persons.
We ordered their Oreo Subling. It it a self service cafe so you have to line up in the counter to order and you will be given a number to know when your order is ready. From the number you can see some Korean characters which may seem that Sulbing Dessert Cafe is owned by a Korean.
The place at that time is jammed packed so their are people lining up outside while the owner itself cleaning the tables, I think they are short of man power.
So our order has arrived and we tried their Sulbing Oreo, it is served with a large bowl and a small condensed milk serving. The presentation is great just as their display demo and serving is huge, or is it.
What I noticed that most of the serving is shaved Ice like 90 percent and the outer covering is the oreo shave and Ice cream on top. The unique thing about the Sulbing is the ice itself ,though it is shaved but its different from that of Halo-halo, the ice is very soft and is thoroughly shaved and their are no ice blocks in it. The condensed milk is a good addition since there is a lot of ice it will add in the flavor and you can actually see the ice melt when putting milk in it.
Priced at 200 pesos, it is kinda pricey for an iced dessert, but great if the weather is hot. It’s just like halo-halo but lesser ingredients and better shaved ice. Since summer is almost over, and if you’re near Gaisano Country Mall then you can visit the place and try it for yourself.
